Answer: x = √-6 - 4

Explanation:

x^2+8x+22=0

(x+4)^2 - 16 + 22 = 0

(x+4)^2 + 6 = 0

(x+4)^2 = -6

√(x+4)^2 = √-6

x = √-6 - 4

√6 = 2.449
