Why do you think there is so much controversy over whether figures are allowed in Islamic art? Some say they are as long as it is not idolatry, while others say it is prohibited? What is your opinion on the subject? Explain your answer.

I believe certain cultures have certain beliefs and the cultures have the right to have their own beliefs. If they don't want to show the piece of art then they don't have to. I don't agree with it at all, if they don't want it then they don't have to show it.

Answer: I'm a little late but, as a mulsim i've learned that images of certain figures aren't allowed as a show of respect and honour towards them, they didnt want people to worship an image of someone either.
