The 2x’s cancel out so you would combine the y’s and the other side of the equal sign to get 6y=30. You would then divide each side of the equal sign by 6 to get y alone, leaving you with y=5. Next, plug in the y to either the top or bottom equation. Plugging it in to the top, you would get 2x+4(5)=22. You would multiply 4 and 5 to then get 2x+20=22. Lastly, subtract 20 from both sides then divide by 2 to get x=1.

The answer is (1,5).
