Why did many conservatives disagree with new deal economic policies?

They saw it as an overreach of government power and influence within the economy. A fear was that so called of limiting-individual rights and freedoms for the sake of government mandated welfare and assistance. They were some charges against it due to its possible resemblance to other government assistance programs performed in Nazi Germany and The Soviet Union both of which were totalitarian governments and had large scale state control over the economy.
