5 = sqrt(( n-2)^2 + (4-1)^2)

Square each side

25 = ( n-2)^2 + (3)^2

25 = (n-2)^2 +9

Subtract 9 from each side

25-9 = (n-2)^2 +9-9

16 = (n-2)^2

Take the square root of each side

sqrt(16) = sqrt( (n-2)^2)

±4 = n-2

Add 2 to each side

2±4 = n-2+2

2 ±4 = n
