Okay so you first need to figure out what your variables are in the equation given. It tells you pi is 3.14. on the top of the cylinder it shows that the radius (r) is 2. the height (h) is shown on the cylinder as 4. Now all you have to do is plug in the values for the variables into your calculator. You have (2) times (3.14) times the radius (2) and you square the radius. then you add (2) x (3.14) x (2) x (4). So if you put it in your calculator it would look like this: (2)(3.14)(2)^2+(2)(3.14)(2)(4)=75.36 Your answer is 75.36
