If you look at the figure, we have 4 triangles. Two of the triangles have measurements of 5 feet and 16 feet. 5×16=80 Next, since they are triangles, we have to divide the area in half - 80÷2=40. Now, since there are two triangles with the same side lengths and same area, I would have to multiply 40 by 2, which gets us 80 again. Therefore, keep in mind that the last two steps were unnecessary.

So now we will solve for the smaller two triangles. 5×8=40, and I would do the same thing as I did for the previous two triangles, but if you remember, that was canceled out was not effective. Therefore, since the figures are triangles but they have the same area, we'll stick with 40.

So now we know that the area of the two pairs of triangles is 40 and 80. Add them together and you get 120, which is our answer.
