4x + 4 = 2(x + 13) Distribute the 2

4x + 4 = 2x + 26 Subtract 2x from both sides

2x + 4 = 26 Subtract 4 from both sides

2x = 22 Divide both sides by 2

x = 11 Plug that back into either the right side or the left side of the original equation

4x + 4

4(11) + 4

44 + 4

48. Each angle is 48 degrees. 48 + 48 is 96
