for example:

9 x 10 = 90

(whole number) (ten) ( 9.0 move the decimal once, because there is only one zero in the number ten, and then the outcome is 90)

This rule works with any number, not just one digit numbers.

14x10=140

56x10=560

178x10=1780

1249x10=12490

and all these numbers end with zero (0).
