The person has a daily budget of $90. That person will spend $35.24 for the daily rate of the car... the rest ($90 - $35.24 = $54.76) can go on mileage.

How many miles can he or she go with $54.76 knowing each mile will cost $0.25?

The easiest way is to present the formula like this:


(54.76)/(1/4) = 54.76 * 4 = 219.04

Based on that person's allowance will be able to travel 219.04 miles, or 219 miles and 1/25th
