"OR" means addition

There are 100 numbers from 1 to 100. Probability of picking 49 is 1/100 (since we want 1 specific number form 100 numbers).

Question is asking Probability that Phillip selects 49 AND ALSO Shelly select 49. since there is "AND", we just multiply both the probabilities of Phillip and Shelly.
