Answer:

Area = 166.28 units²

Perimeter = 48 units.

Explanation:

This polygon has 6 sides.

Angle of each triangle at the centre of the circle is 360÷ 6 = 60º.

Since both the other angles at each triangle is equal (isosceles triangle), they are (180 - 60) ÷ 2 = 60º

We found out that all three angles are the same, 60º. This is an equilateral triangle.

Area of polygon = 6 [ 1/2 (8) (8) sin 60º ] = 166.28 units²

Perimeter of the polygon = 6 x 8 = 48 units
