Explanation:

we know that

Applying The Intersecting Secant Theorem


SJ*SI=SK*SE

we have


SJ=SI+IJ=8+12=20\ units


SI=8\ units


SK=SE+EK=(10+EK)\ units


SE=10\ units

substitute the values


20*8=(10+EK)*10

Simplify


2*8=(10+EK)*1


16=10+EK


EK=16-10=6\ units
