Answer: The numbers are 11, 7, and 44.

I couldn’t give you the expressions because I didn’t know if that was multiple choice

Explanation:

Right out what you know

3 numbers=62

For this we will let the first number equal x, kinda a place holder until we get the answer.

2nd=X-4

3rd=4x

Now to make clear what you are adding together

1st number: x

2nd number: x-4

3rd number:4x

The sum to all 3 numbers:62

The equation:

x+x-4+4x=62

Combine like terms

6x-4=62

Add four to both sides to get rid of the four

6x=66

Divide both sides by 6 to get x by itself

x=11

Now take 11 and plug it back into the beginning information we had.

1st number=11

2nd number=11-4=7

3rd number=11 times 4= 44

All 3 numbers=62

Check your work

11+7+44=62

18+44=62

62=62

As you can see the numbers are correct.
