A crime scene investigator is investigating a robbery at a convenience store. The suspect fled but eyewitness saw him and gave a description. To make a match, the crime scene investigator searches for fingerprints. He uses ninhydrin to look for latent fingerprints on the glass door of which the suspect fled. Why is this technique not the best method to search for fingerprints?

I'm a little confused of the question to be honest. It may be because the suspect didn't leave back any fingerprints. Also, many people walk in/out of a convenience store, so he would be testing hundreds of fingerprints. The chance of finding the right person matching the descriptions are slim.
