When Nick's schedule conflicts, he asks Otis to do the cutting and trimming. This transfer of duties is a delegation for an assignment. Delegation and assignment are synonyms of each other. Nick delegates the task to Otis so that even with the conflicting schedule the task is still completed by the Market Company.
