Explanation:

Each term in the second factor is multiplied by each term in the first factor, that is

5x(6x² + 3x + 7) - 1 (6x² + 3x + 7) ← distribute both sets of parenthesis

= 30x³ + 15x² + 35x - 6x² - 3x - 7 ← collect like terms

= 30x³ + 9x² + 32x - 7
