Your horizontal value (x) is 3 because 5.5-2.5 = 3

Your vertical value (y) is 3.5 because 4.5-1 = 3.5

Pythagoras Theorem

c^(2)= \sqrt{a^(2)+b^(2)  }

a = 3

b = 3.5

c^(2)= \sqrt{3^(2)+3.5^(2)  }

c = 4.60977222

c = 4.61 to 2d.p.
