Step-by-step explanation

Counter culture was the period between 1964-1972 where the norms of 1950s were not practiced by the youths. A noticeable characteristic of this period was rejection of convectional norms of the 1950s.The youths were against racial segregation and the widespread support of the Vietnam war. Hippies were the largest counterculture group with ideals and interest such music, drugs, communitarian experiments and sexual liberation.
