Answer;
c) lignin
Explanation;
Aquatic plants are plants that live within watery environments, they serve as food and habitat for animals living in the sea and prevent shorelines, ponds and lakes from eroding by providing soil stability.
Aquatic plants have less rigid structure since water pressure supports them.
The cell walls of all vascular plants contain a polymer called lignin. Lignin is water-resistant polymer which reinforces cell walls, keeping them from collapsing.
Aquatic plants lack lignin as they are supported by water pressure which prevents them from collapsing and reinforces the cell walls.
