By definition, the standard form of a polynomial is given by:

ax ^ n + ... + bx ^ 3 + cx ^ 2 + dx + e

We then have the following polynomial:

2x ^ 2-4x ^ 3 + (6)/(3)

Rewriting in its standard form we have:

-4x ^ 3 + 2x ^ 2 + 2

We realize that the polynomial has three terms, therefore, it is a trinomial.

The largest exponent of the polynomial is three and therefore we have a trinomial of degree three.

Answer:

-4x ^ 3 + 2x ^ 2 + 2

Three degree trinomial.
