Answer:

the solution is (-2,4) and (2,0).

Explanation:

We have given the system of equation:

y = x²-x-2

y = -x+2

We have to solve it by graphing.

From the graph, it is shown that the solution is the intersecting points of the two equations that is (-2,4) and (2,0).

The graph is attached.

Answer: (2, -4) & (-2, 0)

Explanation:

Graph the two equations to see where they intersect. (see attachment)

You can also check your answer by solving algebraically:

y = x² - x - 2 and y = -x + 2

⇒ x² - x - 2 = -x + 2

+x +2 +x +2

x² = 4

√x² = √4

x = ±2

Substitute x = 2 & x = -2 into one of the equations to solve for y:

y = -x + 2 y = -x + 2

= -(2) - 2 = -(-2) + 2

= -4 = 0

(2, -4) (-2, 0)
