Answer:

Option: C. both native peoples and Africans were taken into slavery.

D. Jesuit catholic priest immigrated to help the native peoples.

Step-by-step explanation:

Portuguese began to colonize in America in the 15th century after signing the Treaty of Tordesillas in 1494. This treaty allowed the Portuguese to establish colonies in South America.

After establishing colonies, they began to introduce Sugar plantation. The sugar plantation required labors to work in the fields and processing. In the beginning, Native American captured and put into works, but it did not become successful because many died because of diseases and remaining fled into the forests. To overcome the problems Portuguese started to bring African slaves to work in fields.

Jesuit Catholic priest came to the New world to help native America from saving their soul. Missionaries began to convert Native American into Catholic.
