HELP!!!!!!! AND SHOW THE STEPS

A Hertz Rent-a-Car is a car agency charges $40 for one day plus $0.10 per mile to rent a full-size car. Enterprise Rent-A-Car charges $18 for one day plus $0.20 cents per mile to rent the same car. How many miles could you drive in one day that would result in the final bill to be the same from both companies?

Which linear equation could you write for Hertz Rent-A-Car if x = number of miles driven and y = total cost?

Select one:
a. y = .10x + 40

b. y = 10x + 40

c. y = .3x + 58

d. None of these

Ans a. y = .10x + 40

because total cost(y) = car agency charges($40) + $0.10/mile, so here car agency charges remain same, but number of miles keeps changing, until we return the car, therefore, we will multiply $0.10 by number of miles (x)
