1-->3
2-->6
3-->9
4-->12
which mapping diagram shows the inverse of g(x)?

The answer would be D. In an inverse function, the x and y vlaues are switched (not in order though!).

Answer:

Option: D is the correct answer.

Explanation:

We are given a function g(x) such that the mapping is as follows:

1-->3

2-->6

3-->9

4-->12

We know that for any function g(x) the inverse function of this function is nothing but the interchange of the range and domain of the original function.

i.e. the x and y value of the function get swapped.

Hence, the mapping of inverse function will be done as follows:

3 ------> 1

6 ------> 2

9 -------> 3

12 ------> 4
