The given binomial is (3x + y)^4

First term =
(4!)/(0!(4 -0)!) 3x^(4) .y^(0)

4! = 24

0! = 1

(3x)^4 = 81x^4

y^0 =1

Applying these values, we get

= 24/24. 81x^4. 1

= 1.1.81x^4

The first term = 81x^4.
