Although my country earned its independence decades ago my people are still discriminated against by a powerful racial minority in the country. This minority keeps their power through racially biased laws. We resisted peacefully at first but the government met us with violence and further outlawed our means to protest. Many of our leaders are now considering violence as a last resort to combat this injustice where does this speaker most likely live

This speaker likely lived in the African country of South Africa. In this country, nearly 80% of the population is black, whereas only 9% are white. However, in spite of this massive majority, the white population has historically concentrated all political and economic power within the country.

The Apartheid was a system of racial segregation that existed in the country between 1948 and 1990. This system was based on the philosophy of "White Supremacy" over the racial majorities of the country, submitting them into institutionalized repression.
