start with the triangle on the top, find the demensions of the shape. 12-8=4 and 16-10=6

use the formula for a right trangle area = length times width divided by two. 6 x 4 = 24, 24 / 2 = 12 thenfind the area of the rectangle Area = length times width. 16 x 8 = 128. Then 128 + 12 = 140

The area is 140 ft^2

find the area of the square in the center 3 x 3 = 9. Then find the area of the one of the half-circles. area = pi times radius^2. To find the radius of this circle, do 3/2= 1.5 because 3 is the diameter. 3.14 x 1.5^2. 1.5^2 = 2.25 then multiplied by 3.14= 7.065. Then because that is only th area of one of the circles, multiply the area by 4, which is equal to 28.26. Then add this number to the area of the square, which will get you 37.26.

The area is 37.26m^2

Find the area of the rectangle with the dimensions of 8 by 10. The formula for the area of a rectangle is length times width. 8 x 10 = 80. Then the smaller square with the 4 by 4 dimensions. You get these numbers by subtracting 6 from 10, which gets you 4. The formula for the area of a square is length times width, which would get you 16. Then finaly the little triangle boi. You get its width by adding 8 and 4 which gets you 12. Then subtract that number by 14, ending up with 2. Then the formula for finding the area of a triagle is length times width divided by two, so 4 x 2 = 8 divided by 2 is 4. Then add all of these areas together. 80 + 16 + 4 = 100

The area is 100ft^2

Find the area of the largest rectangle. The formula for a rectangle is length times width. 4 times 6 gets you 24. Then get the area of the circle. The formula for the area of a circle is, Area=pi times radius^2. Find the radius of the circle by dividing the diameter by two (4) which gets you 2. Then plug in the numbers of the formula. 3.14 x 2^2. This ends up with an area of 12.56. Then the triangle. You find the width by subtracting 4 form 7 getting you a 3. The formula for a triangle is length times width divided by two. 2 times 3 is 6 then dividing this by two is back to 3. Then add all of the totals up. 24 + 12.56 + 3 = 39.56

The area is 39.56m^2

Find the area of the rectangle. The formula for a rectangle is length times width. 4 times 8 is 32. Now, you already have the radius of the circle, so this last calculation for your home work wont be too complicated. So, The formula for a circle is Area = pi times r^2. And pluging everything in. 3.14 times 4^2 is 50.24. Then add these totals together. 50.24+32=82.24

The area is 82.24m^2
