According to Sandra Day O'Connor , Women's opportunities have progressed quite a lot since 1950s.

She took women's high school graduates as an example. During that time, very few female graduates able to achieve position as lawyer within 6 months. Many of the women have to settle for work without pay for a long term just to get their foot in the door. Nowdays, the graduates do not had to face as much struggle as the graduates back in her days.
