Answer:

They need to sell 30 cups of lemonade for them to earn the same amount of money.

Explanation:

1. Write out the equation:

-
1.5x - 35= x - 20

2. Subtract x on both sides to isolate the variable on one side of the equation:

1.5x - x - 35 = x - x - 20

3. Solve for x:

0.5x - 35 =  -20

0.5x - 35 + 35 = -20 + 35

0.5x = 15

0.5x/0.5 = 15/0.5

x =30

Answer:

Explanation:

1.5x - 15 dollars = x - 20 Add 15 to both sides.

1.5x - 15 + 15 = x - 20 + 15

1.5x = x - 5 They will never coincide.

1.5x-x = - 5

0.5x = - 5 Multiply by 2

x = - 10

I would check your question.
