We can use both social and economic reasons to avoid the vietnam war
Social reasons:
- It's not our business.
The conflict between the northern and southern Vietnam was a civil war that involved two different ideologies that fought for dominance in their home country. It's not our place to intervene.
- Our involvement in Vietnam war resulted in many deaths. Including both Vietnam's citizens and our own.
Economic reasons:
- The war took up a lot of government budget to the point where it drove our economy into a recession.
