➷ First you need to find the original volume:

volume = height x width x length

volume = 13 x 3 x 8

volume = 312

Now for the scale factor part, all you need to do is divide by 1000

312/1000 = 0.312 inches cubed

The volume of the original Captain crunch box is:

13 x 3 x 8 = 312 cubic inches.

Volume is given in cubic units.

If the volume is scaled down by 1/10

The cubic value is 1/10^3

Multiply the original volume by 1/10^3

1/10^3 = 0.001

312 x 0.001 = 0.312 cubic inches.
