Find the GCF of both terms.

10) 36x + 24 --> GCF = 12

(12)/(12)(36x+24)\quad \rightarrow \quad 12\bigg[(36x)/(12)+(24)/(12)\bigg]\quad \rightarrow \quad 12(3x + 2)

12) 4x + 9 --> GCF = 1 so cannot be factored

14) 2x - 4 --> GCF = 2

(2)/(2)(2x-4)\quad \rightarrow \quad 2\bigg[(2x)/(2)-(4)/(2)\bigg]\quad \rightarrow \quad 2(x - 2)

16) 12 + 18x --> GCF = 6

(6)/(6)(12+18x)\quad \rightarrow \quad 6\bigg[(12)/(6)+(18x)/(6)\bigg]\quad \rightarrow \quad 6(2 + 3x)

18) 15x + 8 --> GCF = 1 so cannot be factored

20) 50x - 300 --> GCF = 50

(50)/(50)(50x-300)\quad \rightarrow \quad 50\bigg[(50x)/(50)-(300)/(50)\bigg]\quad \rightarrow \quad 50(x -6)
