Five sisters each bought matching scarves and two pairs of socks. The scarves were priced at 12.00$. If the total bill for all five sisters is $125.00, what was the price of one pair of socks

Answer:

1. Scarf per Sister

12 * $5 = $60

2. Total - $Scarves = $Balance

$125 - $60 = $65

3. Balance / (Sisters * 2 pairs) = Price per Socks

$65 / (5*2) = $6.5

Check (6.5 *(5*2) ) + (12*5) = 125

(6.5 * (10)) + (60) = 125

65 + 60 = 125
