If an object is being pushed to the right with a force of 5 Newton’s, and the friction force is 3 Newton’s, what is the net force?

Answer 1

2 Newtons to the right.

3 newtons are needed to over come the friction. There are 2 left over.

So the answer is 2 newtons to the right.
