The body achieves the process by using negative feedback mechanism. For instance, if there is a decrease in the body temperature, the body generates heat through the liver to maintain the optimum temperature for body cells.

In chemical composition, an example will be the action of insulin on blood sugar levels. When blood glucose level increases, the pituitary gland stimulated the pancreas to produce more insulin which helps cells absorb more glucose. This lowers the sugar levels in the blood.
