Explanation:

When you shift the function vertically up or down you must change the value of y where y = f(x).

So the graph shifted 7 units down then you will subtract 7 from y

∴ The new function will be f(x) - 7

∴ g(x) = x - 7

Note:

1- If the graph shifted up you will add the value to f(x)

2- If the graph shifted horizontally left or right you will add or subtract the value to the x

Ex: If f(x) = x shifted to the right 3 units then g(x) = f(x + 3) = x + 3

If shifted to the left 3 units then g(x) = f(x - 3) = x - 3
