1 of the jacks is a club,

So you would have a total of 16 cards to pick ( 3 jacks + 13 clubs)

There are 52 total cards.

The probability is the number of cards you want to pick ( 16) over the total number of cards in the deck (52)

Probability = 16/52 which can be reduced to a. 4/13

Answer:

a.4/13

Explanation:

P ( jack or a club)

There are 4 jacks and 13 clubs, but 1 of the jacks is the jack of clubs

4+13 =17 but we cannot double count the jack of clubs

17-1 = 16

There are 16 cards that fit the jack or the club

P ( jack or a club) = P(jack) + P(clubs) - P(jack of clubs)

= 4/52 + 13/52 - 1/52

= 17/52 - 1/52

= 16/52

=4/13
