It is asking for area. The area of a rectangle is base times height

A = bh

the length can be either the base or the height. It won't matter for this question. Same goes for the width. Lets use 4/7 as the base, and 3/8 as the height.

So

A = (4/7)(3/8)

*When multiplying fractions, multiply the numerators together, and multiply the denominators together, then simplify the resulting fraction.

A = (4/7)(3/8) becomes

A = 12/56 which reduces to

A = 3/14 (both 12 and 56 are divisible by 4)
