Hey there!

We use "
\bold{x}" as the unknown number until we find out what it is

  • \bold{(15)/(20)=(3)/(x)}
  • Firstly, we will cross multiply

  • \bold{15(x)=3(20)}

  • \bold{15(x)=15x}

  • \bold{2(30)=60}

  • \bold{15x=60}
  • Secondly, we will divide both sides by the number
    \bold{15}

  • \bold{(15x)/(15)=(60)/(15)}

  • \bold{Cancel:(15x)/(15)} because it gives us the result of
    \bold{1}

  • \bold{Keep:(60)/(15)} because it gives us our answer

  • \boxed{\boxed{\bold{Answer:4}}}

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!
