Answer:

Since, the length of one eraser =
1(1)/(3)\text{ Inches}=(4)/(3)

Also, the length of one pen = 4 × the length of one eraser

\text{The length of one pen} = 4* (4)/(3)

=(16)/(3)=5(1)/(3)\text{ inches}

Thus, the length of one pen is 16/3 inches.

Solution by the bar model :

Take 4 boxes representing the
1(1)/(3)\text{ inches},

Add the total value of the boxes

= 1(1)/(3)+1(1)/(3)+1(1)/(3)+1(1)/(3)

= 1 + (1)/(3)+1 + (1)/(3)+1 + (1)/(3)+1 + (1)/(3)

=4 + (4)/(3)

=4 + 1 + (1)/(3)

= 5 + (1)/(3)

=5(1)/(3)\text{ inches }
