Please explain how you got the answer I’m lost

Answer:

x( x-5) (x+2)

Explanation:

x^3-3x^2-10x

First thing we notice is that each term has an x, so we can factor that out

x (x^2 -3x -10)

Then we want to factor inside the parentheses

What 2 numbers multiplies to -10 and adds to -3

-5*2 = -10

-5+2 = -3


x( x-5) (x+2)
