Answer:

44 hours

Explanation:

13.50 × 35 = 472.5

675 - 472.5 = 184.5

184.5 ÷ 20.25 = 9.1

9.1 + 35 = 44.1

rounded to 44

Answer:

JoAnn worked for the week = 45 hours

Explanation:

JoAnn paid $13.50 an hour for the first 35 hours each week.

$20.25 each hour after 35 hours.

The equation is

35*13.50 +20.25x = 675, where "x" represents the number of hours she worked after 35 hours.

472.50 + 20.25x = 675

20.25x = 675 - 472.50

20.25x = 202.50

x = 202.50/20.25

x = 10

JoAnn worked for the week = 35 + 10 hours

JoAnn worked for the week = 45 hours.

That's the answer.

Hope you will understand the concept.

Thank you.
