It costs the school band S dollars per sandwich that they make. The band sells each sandwich for 20% more than it costs to make so they earn a profit. The expression 73(S+0.2S) describes how much money the school band received selling sandwiches at their last fundraiser.

Answer: The school band received 87.6S dollars on selling sandwiches at their last fundraiser.

Explanation:

Let the cost of per sandwich that the school band make be S dollars per sandwich.

Selling price of each sandwich be 20% more than it costs .

So, Selling price becomes

S+(20)/(100)* S\\\\=S+0.2S\\\\=1.2S

Since we have given the expression :

73(s+0.2S)

That means there are 73 sandwiches as cost is per sandwich.

So, it becomes

73(1.2S)\\\\=73* 1.2S\\\\=87.6S\ dollars

Hence, The school band received 87.6S dollars on selling sandwiches at their last fundraiser.
