Universities prepare students for success through the teachings and bases granted in each of the environments necessary for a person to develop professionally. These environments are:

The academic, by means of which the student acquires specific and technical knowledge of his career such as mathematics, science, statistics, chemistry, etc. The practice of these subjects develops in the student thinking skills and will allow him to apply the technical aspects at the moment of developing a professional work.

The social: The social field involves not only the lessons given to the student in the classroom but the interaction with teachers, students and other members of the institution. Through the experiences shared in the university and the social aspects taught by teachers, the student is prepared to face the environment of society in the workplace. In the university, he acquires the foundations and forges his behavior in the face of social differences, which allows him to face successes and defeats with maturity.

The cultural environment: The university provides the student with bases on culture and traditions through several ways among which are the themes of each subject, the strategies used by the teacher to teach cultural lessons, and the student environment. These cultural lessons allow the student to acquire more general knowledge that is very important to establish good working and social relations, likewise, a professional trained not only with the academic but also cultural aspects has a greater ability to develop in a globalized environment. the one that we currently live.

The university that you studied is traditionally known as 'Alma Mater", latin for "nourishing mother". This expression shows how important this period is for the person´s life, and consequently, how it can prepare them for sucess in life, wether academic, social, or cultural.

The academic environment is probably the most relevant. The classes and teachers, telling their views on the content you are studying, also with their perspectives in life, can be very helpful on achieving your goals. In the academic aspect you could also include the access to all the books and articles in the university library and website.

Social life in the university years is also very important as it is there that most people start their networking. There you can meet your future partner, employer or employee. Or your first girlfriend/boyfriend. Or maybe just friends...

The cultural environment is also very relevant in university. Many famous writers started writing for academic magazines and websites, many bands were formed and started playing in university events. The same for painters and sculptors. Artists in general have a great oportunity to blend all three environments and start their career sucessfully in university.

But of course, it all depends on the university you have been through, the city it is based, and most important, how you managed the opportunities you had in this moment, in order to prepare yourself for success.
