Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:

2 * (Pi r^2) + (Pi r^2)*h

where r = C/(2 Pi)

Discussion:

Total surface area of cylinder =

area of bottoms + surface area of cylinder =

2 * area of base + (area of base) * h

Generally, C = 2 Pi r, so r = C/(2 Pi) is known as we are given C. . Plugging this in the above equation gives

2 * (Pi r^2) + (Pi r^2)*h

Thank you,

MrB
