acceleration times the time falling

in this case it would be =(9.81 m*s^-1)(2)

=19.62 m*s^-1

Answer:

20m/s

Step-by-step explanation:

Acceleration is the change in velocity of a body with respect to time. Mathematically;

Acceleration (a) = change in velocity (v-u)/ time taken(t)

Where v = final velocity and u is the initial velocity

a = v-u/t

at = v-u

v = u+at

Since the object is under a free fall, it is acting under the influence of gravity, therefore a = +g(downward fall)

v = u+gt

Given u = 0m/s, g = 10m/s², t = 2seconds

v = 0+10(2)

v = 20m/s

The speed of the object after falling will therefore be 20m/s
