Gold is very dense; it is about 19 grams per cm^3

It is malleable and ductile:

  • Malleable: means that the metal is easily shaped.
  • Ductile: means that it can be drawn out to a very thin amount. 1 gram is capable of being spread out to a meter square with a thickness of 230 atoms.

It is yellow in color.

It is opaque (can't see through it).

It is not particularly hard (about 2.5 on the moh's scale. That means it is not water, but it is soft. In pure form, it can be scratched with your finger nail.
