Mary knew this was a special day as she woke up to the beautiful, glowing sunset. She had hardly slept the night before; she was so excited. She turned off her alarm, brushed her teeth, and hopped in the shower.
Once Mary had gotten her makeup and clothes on, she strolled downstairs and made herself a mug of warm coffee. It was nearly eight o' clock, so she had to hurry up and drive into town.
As she stepped out of her car and into a small diner, her best friend was waiting for her at a booth. Mary and Linda said hello, and caught up on all of the important subjects: Work, kids, politics.
It had been a little over a year since last time they had met in person; there was so much to talk about!
They finished up their meals and headed out into town to go shopping. They had a pleasurable day planned out ahead of them.
