Answer:

Answer: In year 2107 life expectancy will be 130 years

Explanation:

First we understand which are the things given in the question.

In every decade life expectancy gains over 5.1 years.

Current life expectancy is about 80 years.

We have to calculate in how many decades life expectancy will increase from 80 years to 130 years which means increase of 50 years.

So from unitary method we can do the calculations.

∵ 5.1 years of life expectancy increases = in one decade

∴ 1 year of life expectancy will increase in =
(1)/(5.1) decades

∴ 50 years of life expectancy will increase in =
(1)/(5.1)×50 decades

=
(50)/(5.1) = 9.8 decades

or 9.8×10 years = 98 years

Therefore 130 years life expectancy will be in in year 2009+98 years =2107
